PSW eligibility for insurance is based on the training standards set out by the Government of Ontario.
- The Personal Support Worker Program Standard set out by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
- The PSW Program established by the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC).
- The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Personal Support Worker Training Standards (1997) established by the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA). PEPA
If any applicant has overseas qualifications, these will only be considered if an equivalency certificate is provded by a recognized Education Instition listed above.
